WALCA (Work And Leisure Centre for Adults) is a centre-based service which welcomes young adults with disability, 5 days a week. Our activities are driven by the interests and needs of young people, including those who require very high and exceptional support for multiple disabilities. So the staff support may be 1:1 for personal attention, or in groups of 3 or 4. Experienced and long-serving WALCA staff provide expert support across the spectrum of mealtime management, positioning, behaviour support, independent living skills, individual learning and independence in the community. |
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is critically important to all Australians. Click the picture above to find out more about the NDIS and how you can help to make this scheme a reality for you and your family |
ACTIVITIES AT WALCA
Activities at WALCA include community access (anything from attending the Easter show to shopping, picnics and movies), craft, music, massage, sensory development and other activities (individual activities such as computer games and group activities such as sport and exercise).
